ShortTrack Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the practices and policies of ShortTrack LLC (hereinafter "ShortTrack") regarding the collection and protection of Personal Data supplied by users or collected by us from users of and ShortTrack's Software Services (the "Software Services").

ShortTrack defines "Personal Data" as any data from which it is practical to directly determine the identity of an individual. Any capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given in the ShortTrack Terms of Use (the "User Agreement").

By use of the Software Services, you agree (1) to comply with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and (2) ShortTrack may process (i.e., collect, use, etc.) your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy or the User Agreement. Personal Data may be processed by ShortTrack in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States).

ShortTrack reserves the right in our sole discretion to revise, amend, or modify this policy and our other policies and agreements at any time and in any manner. Notice of any revision, amendment, or modification of this policy will be posted online at, and a User's continued use of the Software Services will signify agreement to such changes. If you do not accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, your only remedy is to discontinue use of the Software Services.

How ShortTrack Uses Information

Personal Data

We will not sell or market the email addresses or other collected personal information of registered Users to third parties. We will not distribute, sell, or barter any data that you upload into the Software Services. We may share such information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our User Agreement, or as otherwise required by law. We may view your ShortTrack instance data and uploaded information to provide system maintenance and technical support only. You acknowledge and agree that ShortTrack may occasionally send you communications regarding your account, the Software Services, or other offerings via email.

Cookies and Passive Data Collection

ShortTrack uses cookie, IP address, GPS location, URL information and other technical connection details to improve and further develop the Software Services, and to provide enhanced or geographically differentiated features and Software Services levels to Users, where available. ShortTrack uses cookies to save User screen names, session validators, and on Users' browsers and hard drives, and may use them to provide tailored Software Services features to those Users, as they become available.

IP Addresses also help us diagnose network congestion, problems with our servers and otherwise assist in the administration and delivery of the Software Services to our Users. Users who disable their web browsers' ability to accept cookies will not be able to access or take advantage of the Software Services.

User Information ShortTrack Collects

Personal Data

Once you register with ShortTrack and sign in to the Software Services, you are not anonymous to ShortTrack.

When registering with ShortTrack, you provide Personal Data, which may include company name, industry, number of employees, phone number, your title, city, state, country, zip code, a user name, confirmed email address, and a password. ShortTrack does not intentionally gather Personal Data about visitors who are under the age of 13. ShortTrack may also record your IP address when you submit information.

ShortTrack also may collect, at your option, certain preference and demographic information from you. All information collected by ShortTrack is used for internal purposes of providing the Software Services, providing support to users, and to improve the Software Services. ShortTrack reserves the right provide non-personal, summary or group statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Aggregating non-identifying information supplied by users allows ShortTrack to understand its user base and to improve the Software Services.

Cookies and Passive Data Collection

ShortTrack automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you request. ShortTrack utilizes Google Analytics and other software tools to analyze trends with non-personally-identifiable data.

Users should be aware that other websites visited before entering the ShortTrack websites might place Personal Data within a User's URL during a visit to their website, and ShortTrack has no control over such websites. Accordingly, some of this information may be logged by ShortTrack.

Links to Third Party Sites

ShortTrack websites may contain links to other sites that are not under our control. These websites have their own policies regarding privacy. You should review those policies before visiting the websites. We have no responsibility for linked websites, and we provide these links solely for the convenience and information of our visitors.


ShortTrack Service Providers

ShortTrack does not disclose Personal Data to third parties, except to process credit card information for orders in accordance with PCI compliance security guidelines. However, at a future time, ShortTrack may need to provide users' Personal Data to other third parties to deliver specific Software Services to the user (such as hosting services or support Products). These third parties will be required to adhere to Safe Harbor Privacy Principles or at a minimum ShortTrack will require the third party to certify they follow privacy protection equal to ShortTrack's.

Legal Requirements

ShortTrack does not disclose Personal Data, including the data you enter or upload into the Software Services, unless disclosure is necessary to comply with an enforceable government request such as a warrant.

Change of Ownership

In the event of a change in ownership, or a direct merger or acquisition with another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all of ShortTrack User information, including Personal Data, to a separate entity. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you (by posting on or via an email sent to the email address you provide) of any change in ownership, merger or acquisition of ShortTrack's assets by a third party.


All of your Personal Data, stored by ShortTrack or otherwise, is considered confidential and private. Appropriate industry standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards will be maintained by ShortTrack to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

ShortTrack shall not: (a) Intentionally modify your Personal Data, (b) Disclose your Personal Data except as compelled by law or as expressly permitted in writing by you, or (c) Access your Personal Data except to provide maintenance, verification, or prevention of technical problems, associated with the Software Services, to provide technical support at your request, or to market additional Software Services provided by or through ShortTrack to you.

ShortTrack takes reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems but does not expressly make any guarantee these security measures will prevent third-parties from obtaining Personal Data by illegal actions or attacks. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Should such an attack be perpetrated, ShortTrack will supply authorities with available information on the third party when such event comes under prosecution.

Updating or Removing User Information

You may, at any time, choose to correct or update the information you have submitted to ShortTrack by updating your account in the Software Services. If you cancel your account, your Personal Data and other information may be retained in our archive or backup records.

Privacy Complaints and Inquiries

If you have a dispute or complaint about privacy on a ShortTrack website or the Software Services, we kindly ask that you attempt first to resolve the issue directly with ShortTrack by emailing [email protected].
